In short

Tilo has no account, no server and no analytics or advertising services. Everything the app stores stays on your iPhone.

The app

The app does not transfer any personal data to me or to third parties. In detail:

• Screen Time: You choose which apps, categories and websites to block using Apple's picker. Tilo only receives encrypted identifiers from iOS, not the names of the apps, and stores them locally.
• NFC: When scanning, Tilo reads the hardware ID of your tag and compares it with the tags you have registered. The IDs are stored only on the device.
• Camera: The camera is only opened when you scan a QR code. Images are neither stored nor transmitted.
• Statistics: Focus times, streaks and history are stored locally on the device. Widgets and the Live Activity read them via shared storage on the same iPhone.

If you use iCloud backups, the app's data is included in them, just like with any other app. This is governed by Apple. You can delete all data under Settings → Reset data or by deleting the app.

When you download the app via the App Store or TestFlight, Apple processes data under its own terms. I only receive crash reports if you have agreed in iOS to share them with developers. They are anonymous.

This website

The site is served via GitHub Pages (GitHub Inc., USA). GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address in order to display and secure the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). More in GitHub's privacy statement.

The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.). Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process. More in Google's privacy policy.

The site does not set cookies and does not use tracking.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Since the app does not transfer any data to me, I generally do not hold any data about you through it.
